In an era of compacter designs and higher clockspeeds, signal integrity is an ever increasing concern. Full 3D EM simulation does not rely on analytic or semi-analytic models but calculates the actual signal propagation on a structure, including all electromagnetic effects. CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® (CST MWS) enables the real transient simulation of a signal on its way through traces, vias, transmission lines, back planes and interconnects, delivering results like eye diagrams or TDR.

CST PCB STUDIO™ (CST PCBS) and CST CABLE STUDIO™ (CST CS) simulate signal propagation on boards, cable harnesses, or on boards connected to cables. CST MWS and CST MICROSTRIPES™ (CST MS) can use currents calculated with CST PCBS or CST CS, to calculate radiated emissions.

CST PCBS and CST EM STUDIO® can also be used to analyse the power integrity of a design.

In the EDA/ELECTRONICS world, workflow integration is a key concern. CST STUDIO SUITE™ products can interface with layout tools including CADENCE® Allegro®, Mentor Graphics® Expedition™, and Zuken CR5000.
