Stationary Current Field Solver (DC)

Stationary Current Field Solver (DC)

The Stationary Current solver is applicable to the solution of dc current problems such as dc resistance calculations, IR drop simulations for Power Integrity, current flow in circuit breakers etc.

Both hexahedral and tetrahedral mesh types are supported in the Stationary Current Solver. This, as part of CST’s complete technology approach, allows the best mesh topology to be applied to the problem at hand.

Stationary Current Field Solver (DC)

The primary source types are current and voltage ports. The power loss and current flow distribution are provided by the solver which can then be transferred to the CST EMS Thermal and Magnetostatic Solvers respectively in order to provide the temperature distribution and secondary magnetic quantities such as inductance and force.
