Abstract:
A four-element diversity antenna array using four dielectric loaded folded loop antennas on a PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) terminal operating at 5.2GHz for the MIMO (Multiple-Input Multiple-Output) application is introduced. The S-parameters and the radiation patterns of the antennas are assessed using a Finite Integration Technique (FIT) simulation and experimental measurements. Diversity performance is also evaluated by calculating the envelope correlation coefficients and the mean effective gain (MEG) of the antennas.
