Abstract:
The linear array performance of the wide-band CPW-fed printed “Eared” antennas is investigated by means of simulations. The elements behave well in the array environment. A method is described to extrapolate the (active) reflection coefficient and radiation characteristics of any array consisting of more than 7 elements by using the simulated results of a 1 by 7 array. The results confirm that there is no need to simulate the whole array if the number of elements in the array exceeds 7, this resulting in sizable computation time saving
