Abstract:
In this paper, a new 3G multi-band antenna is presented for GSM, DCS, PCS, UMTS and WPAN/WLAN bands. The antenna was designed and simulated under the Electromagnetic Simulator CST Microwaves Studio. A prototype of the final version was fabricated and
measured. The antenna’s interaction with the human body was also investigated. Thus, simulations with homogenous head model were made and then compared with measurements. The results show a good agreement between the simulations and the measurements for both the design and the body interaction studied parts.
