The possibility of achieving new advantageous solutions of high-performance UWB wide-scan arrays is investigated here for typical C-X band applications. Original compact, lowprofile configurations of phased arrays, based on the class of the aperture-coupled stacked patches, have been analysed, designed, and tested. The relevant results show very interesting features as concerns band and scanning features.
