The standardisation process for IEEE802.15.3c Wireless Personal Area Networks (WPAN) allocated at 60 GHz requires transmit and receive circuits capable to handle high data rates. In this context, a planar Vivaldi antenna has been developed to be easily integrated in RF-front-ends. This paper presents the requirements during antenna design, its performance and the integration aspects for final circuit realisation.
