Abstract:
Prolate spheroidal impulse radiating antennas (PSIRAs) can be used for the noninvasive delivery of electromagnetic pulses for fighting against cancer. PSIRAs can deliver subnanosecond electric fields to melanoma tissues that are not easily accessible with implanted electrodes [1]. A PSIRA can therefore be used to obtain electromagnetic focusing on a target to reduce damage to the tissue layers surrounding the target and the skin
