Abstract:
The electromagnetic characteristics of the model with an electric line source radiating parallel to a lossless inhomogeneous and anisotropic metamaterial covered infinitely long conductor circular cylinder is investigated in this paper. First, the permittivity and permeability tensors of the metamaterial are defined according to Pendry’s model, then the wave equation in the cloak is derived, and through the boundary conditions, the electromagnetic fields of the whole region are calculated analytically, finally, the analytical expressions of the fields inside the cylindrical cloak is demonstrated through numerical results.
