Abstract:
This paper presents the design of fully integrated Ultra Wideband (UWB) multi-port reflectometers in multilayer microstrip-slot technology. The devices are formed by 3-dB three-section couplers and in-phase power dividers. Their design is accomplished using CST Microwave Studio (CST MWS) transient solver. The performance of the designed reflectometers is assessed by studying the behavior of so-called q-points representing circles centres in the complex plane over the frequency range of 3.1-10.6 GHz. One of the reflectometers is manufactured and its operation is verified experimentally
