December 6th, 2012 – Computer Simulation Technology (CST), Darmstadt, announces winners of the CST University Publication Award 2012. The CST University Publication Award is an annual grant to university institutes and researchers for work related to 3D EM field simulation applications. The winners are awarded extensions and upgrades to their CST STUDIO SUITE® installations to recognize the importance of their work and to promote further research.
There are three conditions for participation: the papers must be authored or co-authored by university researchers, they must have been published either in scientific journals or conference proceedings, and the numerical results must be entirely or in part obtained through simulations using CST software products.
Amsterdam, The Netherlands, October 29, 2012, Computer Simulation Technology (CST) will be previewing CST STUDIO SUITE 2013 and its new design environment at EuMW 2012, booth #217.
The increasingly complex tasks design engineers face today require a large number of sometimes specialised features. Simulation software vendors such as CST have enhanced their tools to accommodate these requirements. The continuously extended feature set in CST STUDIO SUITE® has resulted in an impressive number of settings and options for the engineer to choose from. CST STUDIO SUITE 2013 has undergone a major redesign in order to escort the engineer on his way through his simulation projects.
Darmstadt, Germany, August 31, 2012, Computer Simulation Technology (CST) launches a new product that analyzes PCBs with respect to EMC and SI related design rules.
Design engineers dealing with electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and signal integrity (SI) of PCBs, can now employ CST BOARDCHECK™ to get a quick overview of potential problems in their layout. CST BOARDCHECK supports a multitude of popular layout formats such as CADENCE® ALLEGRO®, Zuken CR 5000, Mentor Graphics® Expedition® and ODB++, which are read-in using the sophisticated CST STUDIO SUITE® import filters.
Montreal, Canada, June 19, 2012, CST – Computer Simulation Technology AG (CST) and Nuhertz Technologies, LLC® (Nuhertz) present a new integrated filter design flow at MTT-S IMS 2012.
Filter design is a challenging task in electrical engineering that can be greatly simplified by the use of filter synthesis tools such as FilterSolutions™ by Nuhertz. FilterSolutions provides instant, accurate filter designs in various media including Distributed Line, Lumped Element, Digital and Active filters. Users are presented initially with a set of solutions that meet the transfer functions of the filter circuit. The designer can then select the most appropriate function, taking the required design characteristics such as size, materials or layout limitations into consideration. The real-world calculation of parasitic responses can also be considered.
Montreal, Canada, June 19, 2012, CST – Computer Simulation Technology AG (CST) announces enhancements to the transient solver of CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® at MTT-S IMS 2012.
There is an increasing need to model ever more complex devices more realistically. This helps avoid additional cost and time intensive prototyping cycles but can put a great strain on computational resources. The memory efficiency and the robustness of explicit time domain methods and the accuracy of the Perfect Boundary Approximation (PBA)® have established the CST MICROWAVE STUDIO® (CST MWS) transient solver at the forefront of large and detail rich electromagnetic field simulation.
Stellenbosch, South Africa & Darmstadt, Germany, May 23rd, 2012, MAGUS (Pty) Ltd, CST - Computer Simulation Technology AG (CST), EMSS - EM Software & Systems-S.A. (Pty) Ltd announce the release of the fourth major version of Antenna Magus.
With this major version 4.0 release, Antenna Magus has crossed the 200 antenna mark – a significant number of antenna designs - further entrenching the product as the world’s leading antenna design tool. Antennas can be designed for a wide range of objectives (like frequency, gain, impedance and substrate properties etc.) and validated simulation models of user-designed antennas can be exported to FEKO® and CST MICROWAVE STUDIO®.
CST of America, Inc. (CST) and Delcross Technologies (Delcross) have signed a distribution agreement to make CST an authorized reseller of EMIT in North America.
CST is pleased to announce that Delcross Technologies’ EMIT (Electromagnetic Interference Toolkit) is now available through the CST of America sales channel. The software will be fully supported by CST’s skilled team of electromagnetic specialists.
EMIT adds a significant capability to CST’s existing product portfolio of antenna and system design tools. Along with Antenna Magus for early stage synthesis and CST STUDIO SUITE® for full 3D design and installed performance analysis, EMIT adds an integrated capability for analyzing multi-antenna platforms and predicting cosite interference between RF systems attached to the antennas.
Orlando, FL, 2 April 2012, Computer Simulation Technology (CST) and Delcross Technologies (Delcross) will be demonstrating initial integration and capabilities for cosite interference solutions at DoD Electromagnetic Environmental Effects (E3) Program Review, booths # 21 and 22.
Realistic environments containing multiple aggressors (transmitters) and multiple victims (receivers) pose significant engineering challenges with respect to cosite interference. In order to predict cosite interference accurately, a large number of contributing factors have to be taken into account. In particular, the RF performance characteristics of each transmitter (Tx) and receiver (Rx) as well as the wideband coupling/isolation between all antennas must be considered in order to identify and eliminate undesired interference between systems.
Computer Simulation Technology (CST) announces shipping of CST STUDIO SUITE® version 2012 has been completed.
Researchers and engineers use CST STUDIO SUITE for the design of EM based components in application areas as diverse as MW&RF component design, EMC and signal and power integrity analysis. CST’s latest software release CST STUDIO SUITE version 2012, and its multitude of powerful new features and functionality, can help them to streamline their workflows and shorten development cycles.
