CST STUDIO SUITE - EDA / Signal Integrity Training

This course consists of 2 full days of hands-on EDA and signal integrity training with CST STUDIO SUITE® and its dedicated tools for the electromagnetic simulation of electronic devices.

It is helpful to be familiar with the Getting Started manual before attending. This training course is focused on modelling and solver overview, and concentrates on EDA / SI / PI applications.

This training will cover the following topics

  • Introduction to EDA Simulation: Chip, Package, Connector, PCB, Cable
  • Circuit Simulation for Pre- and Post-Layout Analyses
  • EDA Import, CAD Import and Parametrization
  • Modeling Techniques: PCBs, Packages, Vias, Bond Wires, Connector, Ports, and Materials
  • Solver Overview: General Purpose 3D Solvers vs. Special 2D/2.5D Solvers
  • Performance Tuning and Meshing
  • DC IR Drop and Power Integrity (PI) Analysis
  • Decoupling Capacitor Optimization
  • Signal Integrity (SI) Analysis: Parallel Channel, Serial Channel, Eye Diagram
  • Rule-based SI/PI/EMC Analyses
  • Q&A and Discussion

If you want to discuss your models, please send them to us in advance.

This course is available to CST customers and anyone interested in knowing more about SI/PI simulation by means of CST.

Lunch and refreshments will be included. There is a registration deadline one week prior to training and subject to availability.

Training equipment

Training material and hardware will be provided on site.


Please note that an invoice will be sent after the training was held.

Cancellation Policy

Cancellations must be made in writing or via your MyCST account. Cancellation of an accepted registration may be made up to seven days before the training without fee. Delegates who request a cancellation after seven days before the training and delegates who do not attend, are responsible for the full attendance fee.
