Wireless communication, sensors and charging are now common design requirements for devices across industries. Unprecedented data speeds for emerging 5G networks and other millimeter wave communication systems will require new antenna array concepts, even within mobile devices. Aerospace and defense applications demand that antenna systems operate effectively in more challenging and varied environments than ever before, often requiring multiphysics design consideration. A rich ecosystem of mobile devices - from wearables to home automation - requires increasingly compact form factor antennas and multiscale analysis. Multiple antenna systems are often required in modern applications, and each must operate in harmony with the crowd.

Antenna engineers are rising to these design challenges with new generations of antenna concepts, enabled by powerful simulation and computation advancements in recent years. This workshop offers an excellent opportunity for engineers and scientists from industry, research and universities working on antenna applications to meet. Industry experts will deliver keynote discussions about their work and future trends, and we will present both current technology and the newest developments in EM simulation, together with workflow examples relevant to the field.
