Getting Ahead with CST PCB STUDIO 2014

 

CST PCB STUDIO® is more than just a simulation tool for signal lines and power planes. It comes equipped with the capabilities to manage the complexity of designing modern printed circuit boards, which often contain several different systems with both low data rate and high data rate channels, and require the calculation of many different types of results.

This eSeminar will show how CST PCB STUDIO can be used as a powerful simulation project management tool. With it, the user can calculate eye diagrams and S-Parameters for the signal nets and DC voltage drop and AC Impedance for the power planes, and even optimize decoupling capacitor placement or set up complex radiated emission simulations using the 3D solvers in CST STUDIO SUITE®, all within in a single intuitive user interface.

  • Dr. Klaus Krohne
  • received his electrical engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing.) from the Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany in 2001 and his PhD Degree (Dr. sc.) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as a research fellow at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing in Singapore. His research interests include the development of simulation codes for electromagnetic fields as well as device optimization. He is currently with CST - Computer Simulation Technology as Market Development Manager for EDA based in Singapore.
