Multimode Cavity Filter Simulation

 

Modern communication systems are becoming increasingly demanding on the utilization of the frequency spectrum. In order to realize some of these stringent specifications, microwave filters are typically required. Compactness and flexibility are some of the characteristics which multimode filters can offer; however, designing such 3D structures can be very difficult and time-consuming. CST STUDIO SUITE® offers a range of tools that can be used to assist in designing such high performance devices.

In this eSeminar a complete design workflow for multimode cavity filters will be presented. This will include the filter synthesis, 3D implementation and tuning, as well a thermal and mechanical analysis to understand how the filter performance might be affected by high power operation.
