CST – Computer Simulation Technology

New Features for EDA and EMC/EMI Workflows in CST Studio Suite 2015

 

To ensure that devices work correctly in shared environments, engineers must consider signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI), electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) and interference (EMI).

With the release of CST Studio Suite® 2015, our EM simulation tools have been developed further to help engineers analyze and improve their electronic designs at the component and system level. This eSeminar will demonstrate the new features and tools available in CST Studio Suite and its use in EDA and EMC applications.

We will show how an integrated EM simulation approach can help improve the design of individual components, packages and PCBs, as well as assembled systems by considering factors such as high data rates, compact structures and complex layouts. Several examples will be demonstrated, with realistic workflows....

  • Dr. Klaus Krohne
  • received his electrical engineering degree (Dipl.-Ing.) from the Darmstadt University of Technology in Germany in 2001 and his PhD Degree (Dr. sc.) from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Zurich in 2007. From 2007 to 2009 he worked as a research fellow at the A*STAR Institute of High Performance Computing in Singapore. His research interests include the development of simulation codes for electromagnetic fields as well as device optimization. He is currently with CST - Computer Simulation Technology as Market Development Manager for EDA based in Singapore.
